The same creator of the sky has plans for you and I
If it’s written in your heart
Surely, He’ll turn your dreams to a work of art
Family: Reality and Desires
Loving when it’s not comfortable
The strokes of heaven reaching down on me
Because of you I can finally see
This is not what I have hoped for
It’s something much greater
A tug of war within my soul – the old vs the new at it again
Breaking the chains towards freedom
Making it through then falling behind; making strides, then slowing down
I promised you this for a few months and lost the strength to keep going
But every day I’m reminded that I can try again
It’s time to focus and get real
I don’t have the strength to focus, but in You, I do
Help me make it through and live the way You’ve called for me to live
I don’t want to live my way anymore
Every day, I must surrender this out to You
Let me be able to say, “I’m so glad I made it through”
“I know your heart is hurting. I’m here for you every step of the way. They may not understand. They may never understand. And that is okay.”
Matthew 11:28 – 30 | Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
Romans 5:3-4 | We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.
Only you know what God has called you to do. No one else; only you. Your friends may think you’re crazy. Your co-workers may never understand. Your family may even be concerned for you. Some may say, “You’re taking your faith way too seriously.” Some may try to tell you that your dreams are impossible. Or that you should really consider living differently; that you are missing out on life.
During these times, I pray that we continue to ask ourselves, “What does God say?”
Stay strong and rooted in your calling and have faith in His promises. In your weakness, He is strong. In your sickness, He is healer. In your poverty, He is provider. In your weariness, He is peace. In your restless nights, He is your energy. He is everything for you that your heart needs. Are you ready to hold on to this truth?
Recently, someone told me, “You are living a backwards life! Your priorities are backwards. I just don’t want you to miss out!”
I went to church that day in tears and confused. Am I really missing out? I seeked guidance from a friend and her immediate response was, “She’s right. You are living a backwards life.”
At first, I was puzzled. What does she mean, she’s right? That wasn’t exactly the answer I imagined her to say. And then, I remembered this scripture:
Romans 12:2 | Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Stay strong and rooted. He will turn every seed into a beautiful sequoia.
No matter what, keep the faith 🙂
