A Season of Change

Where’s your heart at?

Hoping for change,

Longing for desire

Want, need, what can it be?

Needing that something inside me…

Something inside me?

What can it possibly be?

Something inside me that makes me new and sets me free

There’s something inside me that makes me new again & again

So sing with me, dance with me – laugh with me – rejoice with me

Because for this season, anything goes.

  • Ecclesiastes 9:7-10 — Go, eat your food with gladness, and drink your wine with a joyful heart, for God has already approved what you do. Always be clothed in white, and always anoint your head with oil. Enjoy life with your wife, whom you love, all the days of this meaningless life that God has given you under the sun—all your meaningless days. For this is your lot in life and in your toilsome labor under the sun. Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.

And life happens. There’s only one thing that remains constant.

  • A Time for Everything (Ecclesiastes 3)

1There is a time for everything,

and a season for every activity under the heavens:

2a time to be born and a time to die,

a time to plant and a time to uproot,

3a time to kill and a time to heal,

a time to tear down and a time to build,

4a time to weep and a time to laugh,

a time to mourn and a time to dance,

5a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,

a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,

6a time to search and a time to give up,

a time to keep and a time to throw away,

7a time to tear and a time to mend,

a time to be silent and a time to speak,

8a time to love and a time to hate,

a time for war and a time for peace.

9What do workers gain from their toil? 10I have seen the burden God has laid on the human race. 11He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yeta no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. 12I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. 13That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God. 14I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that people will fear him.

    15Whatever is has already been,

    and what will be has been before;

and God will call the past to account.b

16And I saw something else under the sun:

In the place of judgment—wickedness was there,

in the place of justice—wickedness was there.

    17I said to myself,

    “God will bring into judgment

both the righteous and the wicked,

for there will be a time for every activity,

a time to judge every deed.”

Reflections amass

& here you are

wondering where life will take you next

left or right, up or down – which way to go?

should I stay still, run, walk or crawl, what shall I do?

Calm your anxious heart

Take a bubble bath and just relax, my friend

find some time to sit down and relax with your creator

and you pick up the phone and wonder who to call

an extrovert at heart

always enjoying the company of others

exchanging conversation

for 2 hours

with a dear friend

my friend asks me to pray towards the end of our conversation

and i’ll be honest with you

that was the first time I verbally prayed for someone in a while

it felt nice to bring out that part of me again

and I picked up my bible for the first time in the while, on the phone with that friend

going through scriptures, learning together

i’m an extrovert

I really enjoy talking, learning, growing, and more with people!
